Many young people in the San Salvador metropolitan area are unemployed. Some drop out of school early to contribute to their family's income by taking on odd jobs.

The project offers 450 young people vocational courses and supports them in their search for jobs with decent working conditions.

The courses on offer are tailored to the needs of local businesses. In addition to promoting vocational skills, they also include modules on peacebuilding, conflict resolution and career guidance.

A further 100 young people who have already completed a vocational course are undergoing complementary training modules and are being supported in their job search.
