Many young people in Honduras and El Salvador see no alternative but to emigrate or join criminal gangs. To change this, the RED (Red de Copartes de formación y empleabilidad) and REDI (Red de Empleo Juvenil Digno) networks have declared war on youth unemployment.
They support young women and men through broad public campaigns and services such as an online job exchange: young people register, companies publish their job offers, and RED and REDI monitor activities and ensure that companies make serious offers that enable young people to find decent work.
