Ganzheitliche Bildung stärkt Jugendliche nachhaltig
In El Salvador and Honduras, social inequality, economic hardship and violence have a firm grip on the population. The COVID-19 pandemic is further exacerbating these problems. Many people lack prospects for a life of dignity. Unemployed young people join criminal gangs or try their luck abroad.
Our work here focuses on vocational training and labour market integration for young people from poor neighbourhoods, as well as the recognition and enforcement of the labour rights of textile workers and domestic workers.
Due to the difficult context of violence, peace promotion and conflict resolution (Cultura de Paz) play a central role in all projects. At the same time, we promote synergies between all partner organisations. For example, they operate joint job exchanges to find fair jobs.
